The first British woman to be sentenced to death through a by firing squad in Indonesia is Lindsay June Sandiford. This news created several reactions especially from the people of British, it’s really a shocking and sad news for the family of Lindsay June Sandiford.
Lindsay June Sandiford was sentenced to death by the High Court in Indonesia last Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
Lindsay June Sandiford is already 56 years old, so at her age she is like a grandmother already but still the court proceeded with shocking decision, they’re really strict when it comes to this kind of case, a drug trafficking.
Lindsay was arrested in May 2012 for drug possession when arrived at Bali Airport from Bangkok, Thailand, where 4.8kg (10.6lb) of cocaine was found in the lining of her suitcase.
It’s really a sad news for Lindsay June Sandiford, I’m sure she didn’t expect such verdict but the saying goes no one is above the law.
